That seems more along the lines of you reap what you sow which applies to a whole lot more than prosperity gospel. I get what you mean. Also, because something is abused by some doesn’t mean it should be abandoned by all. Prosperity isn’t bad and there’s nothing in the Bible that indicates God doesn’t want us to prosper. But again, a few people have abused the teaching and it’s principles so alarm bells go off anytime the word is mentioned. It’s a sad reality.
Hence the need, as you rightly said, to dive into the deep end of the pool. Cross the Ts and dot the Is on everything you read or want to believe.
